Assistant Corporate Controller - Construction | PE Backed

SNI has partnered with a private equity-backed professional services company in Fort Worth to identify a high-caliber Assistant Controller with potential to move into a visible leadership role with a clear path to Controller (based on performance).

• Drive and lead the month-end close across multiple operating entities, ensuring timely and accurate consolidated reporting
• Oversee corporate and holding company accounting operations, including intercompany activity and treasury-related functions
• Manage lease accounting and related reporting in accordance with GAAP
• Strengthen internal controls across A/P, corporate card programs, and personnel-related financial processes
• Partner with operations to analyze large-scale construction projects, including cost tracking, WIP schedules, and percentage-of-completion reporting
• Prepare monthly financial performance packages and executive-level reporting on project status and profitability
• Lead and develop a team
• Support acquisition-related accounting, including diligence, and integration
• Contribute to ERP enhancements and process improvements to support scalability and efficiency

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or industry
• Required:
  
  Strong construction accounting experience, including cost accounting and percentage-of-completion (WIP) methodology
• Deep understanding of GAAP, job costing, and multi-entity financial reporting
• Proven ability to manage and mentor a team in a fast-paced, high-growth setting
• Experience supporting audits and maintaining regulatory compliance
