SNI has partnered with a private equity-backed professional services company in Fort Worth to identify a high-caliber Assistant Controller with potential to move into a visible leadership role with a clear path to Controller (based on performance).
This is not a back-office seat — this is a succession-track opportunity for someone who thrives in a growth environment and wants to help scale a platform alongside sharp, driven leadership.
The executive team is comprised of smart, hands-on leaders who are looking for someone with the same intensity, ownership mindset, and commitment to operational excellence.
What You’ll Own- Drive and lead the month-end close across multiple operating entities, ensuring timely and accurate consolidated reporting
- Oversee corporate and holding company accounting operations, including intercompany activity and treasury-related functions
- Manage lease accounting and related reporting in accordance with GAAP
- Strengthen internal controls across A/P, corporate card programs, and personnel-related financial processes
- Partner with operations to analyze large-scale construction projects, including cost tracking, WIP schedules, and percentage-of-completion reporting
- Prepare monthly financial performance packages and executive-level reporting on project status and profitability
- Lead and develop a team
- Support acquisition-related accounting, including diligence, and integration
- Contribute to ERP enhancements and process improvements to support scalability and efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or industry
- Required:
Strong construction accounting experience, including cost accounting and percentage-of-completion (WIP) methodology - Deep understanding of GAAP, job costing, and multi-entity financial reporting
- Proven ability to manage and mentor a team in a fast-paced, high-growth setting
- Experience supporting audits and maintaining regulatory compliance
- Clear runway to Controller
