Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. This role involves preparing financial statements, reconciling balance sheet accounts, managing capitalized asset invoices, and submitting government surveys in accordance with GAAP standards. The position also includes performing financial analysis, supporting month-end close processes, and providing critical insights through internal and external financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, advanced proficiency in financial software, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to management and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 3+ years of experience as a Full-Cyle Accountant or in a similar position
• Strong bank reconciliation experience and 3 way matching
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP's, pivot tables)
• Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports promptly
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/tasks in a dynamic environment
• Proficiency in using modern automated financial management systems
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal direction

$20/hr to $30/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
