Structured Finance Analyst

Job Summary
:

Pennymac is a specialty financial services firm focused on the production and servicing of U.S. mortgage loans. The Structured Finance Analyst will assist in non-agency securitizations, cash management initiatives, and liquidity forecasting, while fostering client relationships and ensuring timely settlement of transactions.

Responsibilities
:

• Understand general concepts of structured finance including agency and non-agency securitizations, mortgage servicing rights securitizations and warehouse financings

• Assist with transactions while fostering internal and external client relationships and business growth

• Ensure smooth and timely settlement of transactions

• Execute any remediation required based on findings from in-process and post due diligence quality control audits

• Support financing and capital strategy formulation

• Assist with cash balances, secured revolving facilities, and warehouse lines to ensure liquidity, compliance with lender and regulatory requirements, and to minimize interest and fee expenses

• Successfully coordinate across all areas of Penny Mac (i.e. Legal, Servicing, Investor Accounting, etc.)

• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Qualifications

Required
:

• Bachelors Degree, preferably in Business Finance or related field

• Ability to write well, think critically and develop practical solutions

• Ability to read, analyze, interpret, comment on and negotiate legal documents

• Candidate must be detail-oriented due to the significant and immediate financial impact on valuation/pricing/trading

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

• Ability to work independently

• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines

• Excellent presentation and organizational skills; ability to collaborate, manage and expand relationships across the organization and with all levels of management
