The Assistant Controller supports the Controller in managing the daily operations of the accounting department. Managing a team of 5+, this role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and timely completion of month-end and year-end close processes. Key responsibility in shortening close process.
Key Responsibilities- Managing team of 5+
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation
- Oversee general ledger accuracy and account reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end close processes - shorten close process
- Ensure compliance with GAAP
- CPA preference;
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting - 7+ years of accounting experience
- Extensive knowledge of the construction industry (job costing, GAAP, financial reporting standards)
