Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Manager to oversee and enhance the daily operations of our accounting department in Fort Worth, Texas. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong ability to manage financial processes, ensure compliance, and lead a team in producing accurate financial results. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and have a passion for driving efficiency and excellence within accounting practices.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the daily operations of the accounting department to align with organizational goals and values.

- Supervise monthly and annual closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial statement preparation.

- Oversee shared service accounting processes, including payroll, record-to-report, procure-to-pay, and order-to-cash functions.

- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including alcohol filings, and maintain adherence to company policies.

- Perform detailed analysis of accounting metrics to provide actionable insights to leadership.

- Establish and maintain robust controls to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial results.

- Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and coordinating audit activities.

- Review and resolve variances in accounts receivable, distributor billbacks, pricing administration, and budgets.

- Monitor general and administrative expenses, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.

- Assist with procurement, accounts payable processes, and approval of monthly accruals. Requirements - Proven experience in month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger management and account reconciliation.

- Familiarity with conducting financial statement audits.

- Expertise in preparing and analyzing journal entries.

- Proficiency in Excel for creating financial models and performing ad hoc analyses.

- Solid understanding of compliance with regulatory filings and internal policies.

- Ability to identify and resolve operational variances effectively.

- Excellent organizational and leadership skills to manage teams and processes.
