Job Summary

The Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing the short- and long-term financial position of the University by collecting, monitoring, studying financial results and reports, and creating and maintaining financial models and tools. This position will provide high level data insights to support the creation and evaluation of multi-year strategic projects and plans.
Duties & Essential Job Functions- Bachelor's degree in finance, data science, economics or related field of study.
- 3 years of equivalent experience in financial planning and analysis, finance, data analytics, or a related field.
- Master's degree in finance, business, or related field of study.
- 3 years of financial reporting analytics or equivalent.
- Experience with data and statistical modeling, preferably Anaplan software.
Licensure/Certification /Specialized Training
- None
- Anaplan Model Builder Certification
- Knowledge of information warehouse and business intelligence software tools.
- Knowledge of customer service techniques.
- Knowledge of AI and a proactive interest in monitoring its evaluation to identify opportunities for integrating emerging tools into our workflows.
- Skill in Microsoft Office including Excel.
- Skill in navigation of Microsoft Windows.
- Ability to multi-task, detail oriented and organized.
- Ability to use historical trends to develop dynamic budgeting and forecasting models.
- Ability to communicate and present ideas clearly both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to draft grammatically correct and effective correspondence.
- Ability to demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving and research capabilities and communicate results.
- Ability to extract and analyze financial data in a computerized environment.
- Ability to work collegially and effectively with others.

Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations)- Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
- Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
- Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
- Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
- Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs.
- Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
- This role is an on campus, in-person position.
- There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
- The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
