Cash Posting Specialist
Join Our Team as a Cash Posting Specialist. Ensure Financial Accuracy and Excellence in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities- Manage Cash Transactions:
Process incoming payments (cash, checks, and credit card transactions) accurately and in a timely manner. - Ensure Compliance:
Follow the BILLING SOP MANUAL protocols and guidelines for each payor while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations. - Reconcile Accounts:
Prepare and make daily bank deposits, reconcile cash collections with receipts, and balance deposits against bank totals. - Post Payments:
Accurately post payments from insurance and patients, analyze EOBs for appeal or reprocessing needs, and allocate funds appropriately. - Handle Refunds:
Process refund requests from insurance, research issues, and post recoupments as needed. - Maintain Records:
Scan and upload all correspondence related to patient and insurance payments and ensure accurate documentation in compliance with company policies. - Support Reconciliation:
Participate in monthly reconciliations and maintain up‑to‑date spreadsheets for deposits and exception reports. - Provide Exceptional Customer Service:
Address concerns or issues promptly and professionally while maintaining confidentiality.
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excels in time management and consistently meets deadlines.
- Understands basic accounting principles and is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Maintains integrity, discretion, and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
