Our client, a fast‑growing construction company, is seeking a Controller to oversee accounting operations for assigned divisions and partner closely with division leadership to analyze financial performance and support data‑driven decision‑making.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with 2–5 years in a managerial role and is comfortable operating in a hands‑on, growth‑oriented environment.

• Lead and manage the month‑end close for assigned divisions, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Analyze divisional financial statements and partner with division leadership to support data‑driven decision‑making.
• Prepare and/or review journal entries, intercompany transactions, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations; research and resolve variances.
• Monitor payroll, revenue, expenses, and cash flow; prepare ad hoc reporting as needed.
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including billing, collections, and cash application.
• Assist with annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.
• Manage internal and external audit requests.
• Prepare sales/use and property tax filings across multiple jurisdictions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
• Construction accounting experience, including percentage‑of‑completion (required).
• Advanced analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
