Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
• 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree
• Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, NX, or equivalent Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
• The candidate must be willing to participate in technical discussion with support teams to achieve
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

As the Harness Installation Design Engineer you will be responsible for delivering innovative harness and interconnect solutions within the IFG, ensuring seamless integration into aircraft airframes.

• Integrate all electrical harnesses into the airframe by determining routing and necessary support/clamping.
• Provide direct support to in‑house Production and Supply Chain as Liaison Engineer and MRB liaison.
• Review and disposition Requests for Engineering Action and SPARs/QARs.
• Model electrified 3D harness routes to drive physical harness configuration design.
• Create build‑to‑packages for detail parts, assemblies, and installations.

-This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

• Experience with some Aerospace Aircraft (C-130H, C-130J, C-5, P3, F35, F16, F22, etc…)
• Some experience, and technical/project leadership experience on large-scale aircraft and defense systems acquisition and development programs
• Experience with Harness, Wiring, or Cable design/schematics
• Some experience with LM Aero tools and databases; these include but are not limited to LAWS, JEDI, ECRS, DIMs, CADatanet, Service Flo, Parts Warehouse, CSPL, and ADMS
