Contract-to-Hire Opportunity
Location: Fort Worth, TX (Hybrid – Minimum 2 days onsite)
Position SummaryThe energy industry is undergoing rapid transformation to enhance system reliability, resiliency, and sustainability. As part of this evolution, our client is expanding its Energy & Power practice to address the growing complexities of energy transition, resiliency, and decarbonization initiatives.
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity based in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is intended to convert to a direct‑hire position based on performance and business needs. The selected candidate will serve in a senior technical and leadership role, providing electrical engineering expertise across utility and power market sectors while mentoring junior and mid‑level engineers and working closely with clients to deliver high‑quality engineering solutions.
This position offers the opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle—from early concept development and feasibility analysis through detailed design and execution—supporting a true end‑to‑end service model.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage electrical engineering teams delivering advisory services and engineering design solutions across utility and power projects.
- Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert in power systems and electrical engineering disciplines.
- Engage directly with clients to evaluate energy needs, develop conceptual and detailed engineering solutions, and support full project execution.
- Collaborate with client account managers and business development teams on strategically important pursuits and proposals.
- Contribute to business growth strategies, including identification and development of new project opportunities and emerging technologies.
- Support proposal development efforts, including scope definition, level‑of‑effort estimates, and execution planning.
- Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and professional development support to junior and mid‑level engineering staff.
- Anticipate technical and project delivery challenges while effectively managing stakeholder expectations and project risks.
- Participate in Owner's Engineer, contract management, technical advisory, and due diligence assignments as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in electrical engineering design and/or consulting.
- Majority of professional experience supporting utility and power projects.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in any U.S. state (required), with the ability to obtain licensure in additional states as project needs dictate.
- Demonstrated ability to build client relationships, win work, and deliver innovative, value‑driven engineering solutions.
- Proven leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing junior technical staff.
