Location: Downtown Fort Worth, Texas (Onsite, Monday–Friday)
Compensation: $130,000 – $180,000 DOE
Position SummaryThe Reservoir Engineer will support ongoing development, acquisition, and operational activities within South Texas basins. This role requires strong technical expertise in operational reservoir engineering, with a minimum of five years of direct experience, including A&D evaluation work. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reservoir characterization, decline curve analysis, forecasting, economic modeling, and modern engineering software tools commonly used in unconventional resource plays.
Key Responsibilities- Perform reservoir characterization, decline curve analysis, type curve generation, and production forecasting for South Texas assets.
- Conduct acquisition and divestiture (A&D) evaluations, including reserve assessments, economic analyses, and development planning.
- Work closely with geoscience, operations, and land teams to optimize development strategies and reservoir performance.
- Prepare and present technical evaluations, reserve reports, and economic scenarios to internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for field development, optimization, and enhancement based on reservoir performance data.
- Evaluate drilling, completion, and workover opportunities to maximize asset value.
- Monitor production performance and recommend operational changes to improve recovery.
- Support annual budgeting, planning cycles, and long-range development planning.
- Analyze offset operator activity, basin trends, and competitive intelligence across South Texas basins.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across engineering databases and forecasts.
- B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years of operational reservoir engineering experience.
- Demonstrated A&D evaluation experience, including technical and economic assessment.
- Experience working in South Texas basins.
- Proficiency in reservoir engineering software such as Aries, PHDWin, Spotfire, Petra, Harmony, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
