Manufacturing Process EngineerBell‑Textron, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support our Assembly Value Stream at the Drive Systems Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
What You'll Be Doing As a Manufacturing Process Engineer- Direct customer‑facing experience either supporting production, industrialization of product, or frontline leadership.
- Able to effectively identify, report, and resolve potential safety and quality hazards/risks.
- Able to develop scope of work, resource estimates, progress metrics, and communication cadence for overall project management to meet mission‑critical objectives.
- Able to perform producibility analysis and manufacturing trade studies to determine cost‑effective solutions to complex manufacturing technical objectives using a variety of data and analysis techniques.
- Works through a disciplined approach in initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing tasks and projects to achieve specific goals and success criteria.
- Work and deliverables reviewed and checked through team leadership, Project/Program management, and Functional management to adequately meet objectives.
- Mentors and shares manufacturing technology with teammates and colleagues while positively influencing across functional teams.
- Knowledge and/or expertise in one or more manufacturing technologies to include, but not limited to the following:
- Aero‑structure – Airframe design of metallic, non‑metallic, machining, cutting tool, additive part fabrication and assembly manufacturing processes, equipment, tool integration, and product verification.
- Electrical and Mechanical Systems – design, integration and installation manufacturing processes, tool integration, equipment, and product verification.
- Tail, Main and Prop Rotor Blade Systems – design of metallic, non‑metallic, machining, additive part fabrication and bonded assembly manufacturing processes, tool integration, equipment, and product verification.
- Manufacturing Execution Systems – process specifications, CAD/CAM; production planning, material requirements scheduling, and material kitting and handling.
- Gear and Transmission Drive Systems – metallic, non‑metallic, machining, additive part fabrication and assembly manufacturing processes, tool application, equipment, and product verification.
- Tool and Equipment Integration – Facility requirements, ergonomics, safety, automation, robotics, metrology, applied to the fabrication and assembly of vertical lift systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Engineering Technology is required.
- 2 years in Aerospace Design, Manufacturing or Manufacturing Engineering Roles.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
- Experience with electronic product and project data in applications such as Catia, Enovia, CAMS, Primavera or similar applications.
- Off every other Friday with our 9/80 work schedule.
