We’re working with a highly respected civil engineering firm to find a Practice Leader – Land/Site Development for their growing Fort Worth team. If you're a seasoned civil engineer with a passion for mentoring others and delivering best-in‑class site development projects, this is the place to take your career to the next level.
What You’ll DoIn this role, you’ll have both technical and business leadership responsibilities, including:
- Leading a team of project managers, engineers, and designers to deliver top‑tier site development projects.
- Managing design and production of plans/specs for multi‑family, commercial/retail, and industrial developments, including:
- Paving.
- Grading.
- Drainage.
- Water and sanitary sewer systems.
- Storm sewer and other site infrastructure.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Maintaining and growing client relationships while seeking out new business opportunities.
- Overseeing project management reporting and ensuring timely, accurate client invoicing.
- Managing team performance and ensuring high‑quality deliverables.
- Guiding team members with mentorship, technical support, and leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas.
- 10+ years of experience in site development (commercial, industrial, multi‑family).
- 5+ years of project management experience.
- Strong technical skills with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, HEC-HMS, Storm
CAD, or similar tools. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with municipalities, cities, or counties (preferred).
- MUD District experience (preferred).
- A collaborative, mentorship‑oriented mindset.
