Civil Project Engineer
Location: Texas Offices (Bryan, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Georgetown)
Overview
Gessner Engineering is looking for a motivated Civil Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will support and lead design efforts for a variety of projects—including parking lots, roadways, grading, drainage, and utility layouts—while collaborating with clients, MEP, landscape and architectural consultants, and internal teams to bring creative, buildable solutions to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and lead civil design projects from concept through construction.
- Develop site layouts, grading, drainage, and utility designs using Civil 3D.
- Coordinate directly with clients, consultants, and review agencies.
- Prepare construction documents, perform QA/QC reviews, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Conduct site visits and assist with construction administration tasks (submittal review, RFIs).
- Manage project tasks, priorities, and timelines in collaboration with project managers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 0–5 years of experience in civil/site design and construction document preparation.
- E.I.T. registration in the State of Texas required.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with HY-8, Autodesk SSA, or Flowmaster is a plus.
