Electrical CAD Technician Job Description
This is an onsite position with no remote or hybrid work options available. The Electrical CAD Technician will be responsible for assisting technical teams of detailers, designers, and engineers in creating detailed work on a variety of projects. The role involves developing computer-aided drafting design solutions, preparing and revising drawings, and adhering to company and client drafting standards.
Responsibilities- Assist in preparing and revising engineering drawings and plot drawings from specific sketches or layouts.
- Adhere to drafting standards and procedures for the selected discipline.
- Participate in drafting design and documentation for various projects.
- Utilize standard drafting detail programs for tasks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in drafting details.
- Research and recommend solutions to project concerns and design problems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all company policies and standards.
- Associate's Degree in CADD/Drafting.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Self-motivated and eager learner with an aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
The position requires working onsite, with occasional travel (1-5%) to the DFW office. The role does not offer a flex 9/80 schedule. Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country where this position is located.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Fort Worth, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is 22.00 - 26.00/hr.
