Aeronautical Subsystem Installation Design Engineer - Level 2

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics seeks a full‑time Subsystem Installation Design Engineer for the Integrated Fighter Group (IFG) supporting the F‑16 and F‑22 platforms in Fort Worth, Texas. A successful candidate will apply technical expertise to develop solutions to aircraft equipment and systems installation design problems.

• Design the installation of aircraft equipment for Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and associated hardware; design aircraft tubes and harness assemblies for fuel, hydraulic, and environmental control systems; design installation of aircraft fluid routing and bracketry.
• Conduct trade studies and evaluate alternatives to optimize form, fit, and function of equipment installations.
• Define, develop, and finalize equipment layouts, systems, and harness interfaces.
• Create build‑to‑packages for detailed parts, assemblies, and installations.
• Coordinate with other technical disciplines for optimized integration at the aircraft level (producibility, maintainability, tooling, interchangeability, materials and processes, stress, etc.).

• Experience with aircraft equipment installation design and troubleshooting.
• Experience with aircraft fluid or electrical installation design and troubleshooting.
• Experience with CATIA V5.
• Experience with metallic design.
• Experience creating and/or modifying drawings.
• Proficiency in CATIA, Solid Works, or other CAD applications.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen; position requires a government security clearance.
• Location requires special access.

Onsite full‑time:
The work will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
