Operations Engineer I | AI-Driven Operations | Fort Worth, TX

Technical staff role for sharp engineering graduates ready to lead AI/ML projects and solve real operational problems.

BKV Corporation is a $2B publicly-traded natural gas and carbon capture company. We're hiring an Operations Engineer I (individual contributor) reporting directly to our VP of Upstream Operations to lead AI/ML implementation, operational analytics, and cross‑functional strategic initiatives.

This is a special projects engineer position
—you'll work directly with operations leadership on high‑impact projects across ops, engineering, IT, and commercial teams.

• 50% AI/ML Projects – Lead our 2026‑2027 AI solutions rollout (predictive maintenance, throughput optimization, automated workflows)
• 30% Operational Analytics – Build dashboards, track KPIs, analyze performance data for decision‑making
• 20% Cross‑Functional Coordination – Work across operations, engineering, IT, commercial, and field teams on strategic initiatives

Rotational project exposure

• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical) with strong academics
• 0‑3 years experience – Recent graduate, rotational program alum (Pioneer, EOG, Devon, Chevron), or early‑career engineer
• Analytically sharp – Can handle complex problems, data manipulation, systems thinking
• IT/AI literate – Comfortable with Python, SQL, Excel, data analytics, and AI/ML tools (or eager to learn)
• Work ethic signals – Honors, leadership roles (team captain, SPE officer), research, internships
• Fort Worth hybrid schedule – On‑site 3-4 days/week, remote 1-2 days

• Direct executive exposure – Report to VP of Operations, present to C‑suite
• Lead AI/ML rollout – Own the 2026‑2027 implementation, not just support it
• Operations leadership track – Prior engineers promoted to Manager roles
• CCUS infrastructure – Build the energy transition, not just extract gas
• Fort Worth location – Lower cost of living than Houston, hybrid flexibility
