THE WORK

Provide formal instruction and assistance with aircraft launch and recovery, jacking, lifting, towing; and end‑of‑runway, post‑flight, preflight, and thru‑flight inspections. Teach the student how to perform inventories and maintain aircraft structures and equipment as well as maintaining aircraft forms and records. Performs phase dock functions. Troubleshoots, inspects, removes, installs, services, adjusts, removes, aligns, rigs, and modifies the F‑16 hydraulic power, and landing gear system/subsystem components at the organizational level.

Basic Qualifications
  • The instructor shall possess at a minimum the equivalent of a USAF skill level of seven (7) with military experience clearing aircraft for flight equipment discrepancies and 4 years current experience in their respective disciplines on F‑16s.
  • Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills and be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is mandatory.
  • All instructors shall be U.S. citizens.
  • All personnel must have a secret clearance or the ability to obtain a secret clearance prior to employment.
  • All necessary instructor, technical and skills certifications must be obtained prior to employment.
Desired skills
  • Experience working with foreign nationals and documented Instructor experience is highly desired and will be viewed as a positive element during employment consideration.
  • F‑16 Block 40 or higher experience preferred.
  • Candidates with additional experience in any of the following areas are preferred: shop/flight line setup, debrief, field training detachment (FTD), technical order library maintenance, quality assurance, or modification teams. Experience in more than one of the aforementioned areas will be viewed as a positive element during employment consideration.

Work Schedule

4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Employee will telework >= 50%.
