Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full‑time Subsystem Installation Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) in Fort Worth, Texas. A successful candidate will apply technical expertise in developing solutions to aircraft equipment and systems installation design problems.
Responsibilities- Design the installation of aircraft equipment for Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and associated hardware; design aircraft tubes and harness assemblies for Fuel, Hydraulic, Environmental Control Systems, and Electrical Systems; design installation of aircraft fluid and electrical routing and associated bracketry.
- Conduct trade studies and evaluate alternatives to optimize form, fit, and function of the equipment installations.
- Define, develop, and finalize equipment layouts, systems, and harness interfaces.
- Create Build‑to‑Packages for detailed parts, assemblies, and installations.
- Coordinate with other technical disciplines for optimized integration at the aircraft level (producibility, maintainability, tooling, interchangeability, materials & processes, stress, etc.).
- Experience with CATIA, Solid Works, or other CAD applications.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position requires a government security clearance.
- Experience with aircraft equipment installation design and troubleshooting.
- Experience with aircraft fluid or electrical installation design and troubleshooting.
- Experience with 3DX or CATIA V5.
- Experience with metallic design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team‑based environment.
