Production - Technical Subcontractor

This is a Technical Subcontract Management (TSM) field support position. The TSM will provide onsite support at multiple Lockheed Martin (LM) major system and airframe suppliers, primarily located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Approximately ninety percent of the TSM’s time will be spent on site at a LM supplier facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with supplier personnel to prioritize components through manufacturing and validate the status of deliverable parts.
  • Prepare plans to reduce or prevent shortages, identify supply‑chain risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Act as a project manager overseeing multiple LM suppliers and provide detailed status updates to LM procurement.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, quality, and engineering functions within LM and at supplier facilities to expedite parts and assemblies needed to support each LM Aeronautics Line of Business.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with supplier personnel at all organizational levels, building relationships quickly with multiple stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Understanding of production processes related to aircraft systems components and avionics equipment, including machined part fabrication, tooling fabrication, and lean manufacturing.
  • Aself‑starter with the ability to analyze supplier processes and develop improvement plans collaboratively with suppliers and LM.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Additional Notes
  • Frequency of visit: 30–40 hours per week.
  • Candidate must live in or near a 25‑mile radius of Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. Occasional travel to other locations around DFW or surrounding states may be required.

  • W‑2 contract position on an as‑needed basis.
