SummaryThe Child Care Teacher is responsible for supporting school readiness and monitoring developmental outcomes while providing responsive caregiving and developmentally appropriate, inclusive learning experiences for enrolled children. They also create and support a positive, high‑quality early learning environment in alignment with Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards, Texas Early Learning Guidelines and Pre‑K guidelines.

- Articulating and demonstrating sound early childhood principles and best practices.
- Providing care for children in the daycare facility, attending to their personal needs.
- Observing and monitoring play activities; engaging children with reading and games.
- Communicating effectively with children, families, and staff.
- Implementing lesson plans, routines, and curriculum.
- Demonstrating professionalism in decision‑making and leadership.
- Child Development Associate (age‑specific, or all levels).
- Preferred:
Associate degree in early childhood education or related field (12 hrs of ECE) or higher. - Must be 18 years or older.
- Previous ECE classroom teacher experience in a state‑licensed childcare center.
- Articulate and demonstrate sound early childhood principles and effective teaching practices for children.
- Actively supervise and ensure the health, well‑being, and safety of children.
- Implement age‑appropriate lesson plans; use curriculum with fidelity and inclusive scaffolding.
- Facilitate family engagement experiences and conduct two parent conferences per year.
- Communicate with children, families, and staff to implement school readiness strategies.
- Ensure classroom activities and interactions are age‑ and developmentally appropriate and aligned with guidelines.
- Coordinate other classroom staff and volunteers in the daily routine.
- Implement positive decision‑making strategies that affect the operation, care, and education of children.
