Our 2-Hour Learning model integrates AI-adaptive technology with skilled instruction to produce accelerated reading outcomes. Your role: create and implement focused reading workshops that generate measurable improvements in phonics, fluency, and comprehension for early elementary learners, then support national scaling of the program across our campuses.
This role isn’t about paperwork or lesson-plan templates. It’s about data-informed teaching, technology partnership, and constructing a reading curriculum that serves thousands of students effectively.

What You Will Be Doing- Conducting focused, time-efficient reading workshops that strengthen phonics, comprehension, and fluency
- Creating personalized motivational experiences using gamified literacy benchmarks
- Examining student performance data to adjust instruction and identify actionable patterns
- Partnering with engineers to assess and improve AI-powered literacy platforms based on real classroom outcomes
- Building scalable, AI-supported instructional content that enables early elementary students to reach grade-level reading proficiency
- Conducting 90-minute classes or adhering to traditional curriculum structures—students engage with academic content through AI-adaptive applications
Reading Tutor key responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree
- Advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, LETRS, CERI, or equivalent) OR Master’s degree in reading instruction
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing small-group reading interventions to K–2 students
- Capable of evaluating reading levels, organizing student groups, and creating differentiated instruction without reliance on pre-packaged curricula
- Comfortable using AI/adaptive learning platforms and adjusting instruction based on student interaction patterns
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Prepared to work on-site at one of our locations:
Phoenix, AZ;
Austin, TX;
Fort Worth, TX;
Plano, TX;
Tampa, FL; or Dorado, Puerto Rico

Working with usThis is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
