Department SummaryAs part of the Division of Academic Innovation, the Educational Media team provides a comprehensive suite of innovative media services to the UNT Health community. Core areas of support include multimedia production, graphic design, and immersive learning experiences. The team produces high-quality instructional, promotional, and event-based video content; develops game-based learning interactions and gamified 3D/360 environments; and leads holographic media production to enable life like simulation and storytelling.
Additionally, the team designs and supports interactive hybrid learning experiences in the X2O One Room environment, and provides technical support and administration for Mediasite and Verbit platforms. The Educational Media team maintains a strong commitment to excellent customer service, superior production and design, and forward-thinking approaches that elevate teaching, learning, and engagement across the university.
In this pivotal role, the Digital Experience Specialist collaborates closely with specialists, instructional designers, faculty, and managers across education and health to design and develop engaging digital learning experiences. Leveraging strong skills in web development, interactive design, and user experience (UX), this role creates visually compelling, accessible, and user-centered web-based activities that enhance learning and engagement.
The Digital Experience Specialist contributes to immersive web interfaces, interactive simulations, and gamified learning activities that support UNT Health's mission to advance education and health through innovation. This role balances creative execution with technical problem-solving, ensuring digital experiences are intuitive, scalable, and aligned with institutional standards.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Digital Design, or a related field, and four (4) years of hands‑on experience in an educational setting.
Skills and Abilities
- Advanced graphic and digital design skills with a strong foundation in UX/UI and responsive design principles.
- Ability to design visually engaging, user‑centered interfaces that support learning outcomes in education and health contexts.
