• Supervisory positions will provide leadership and technical direction to a subordinate staff assigned to the MEB Outpatient Clinic.
• Supervisory positions will be responsible for comprehensive review of medical records, orders and interpretation of diagnostic tests and x‑rays, ancillary tests, and utilizing sound clinical judgment; arranges for other medical specialty consultation.
• Dictate comprehensive narrative summaries utilizing consultant contributions and opinions as indicated.
• Assess community and patient population needs, mission requirements, and Service resources to plan, implement, and provide a wide array of outpatient and inpatient services.
• Coordinate with other physicians (family practitioners, general psychiatrists, etc.) in evaluating and correlating conflicting medical evidence for exceptionally difficult and otherwise untreatable cases.

Performs Other Duties As Assigned.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• Selectees may be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to consent to participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
• A pre-placement medical examination may be required.
• Immunization screening may be required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
• May be required to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.
• May be required to possess and maintain a valid stateside driver s license.
• Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
• This position may require the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.

US Citizenship required

• Degree:
  Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the AMA; AAMC; LCME; COCA; or an accrediting body recognized by the US Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. A foreign medical degree must have provided education and medical knowledge equivalent to US accredited schools.
  
  Evidence of equivalency may be demonstrated by permanent certification by ECFMG, a fifth pathway certificate, or successful completion of the USMLE.
• Licensure: Applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a US state or territory.
• Graduate Training: After earning the MD or DO degree, at least one year of supervised clinical experience (internship or first year of residency) in an accredited program.

In addition to the basic requirements, to qualify you must meet:

• Experience/Training: Applicants must possess five years of graduate training in the specialty of the position to be filled or equivalent experience and training.

A salary quote will not be provided at the time of the initial job offer. Salary determination begins after the offer is accepted and involves an Activity Compensation Panel. Salary is tiered by position specialty, grade, and location.
