This position plays a pivotal role in shaping the District's online presence by overseeing content management, user experience, and the effectiveness of web strategies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for online marketing, technology, and delivering exceptional user experiences for staff, students, parents, and the community. This role requires the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, developing creative solutions, building consensus, and working effectively with both technical and non‑technical staff.
The Communications and Web Coordinator will play a key role in bridging communication gaps between parents, educators, and the broader community, making a significant impact on the District's digital engagement strategy.
- Web Presence Management: Oversee and maintain the District's web properties, ensuring that they are dynamic, user‑friendly, and up‑to‑date.
- Content Management: Support content creation, editing, and proofreading across the District's websites, ensuring compliance with web standards, branding, and style guidelines.
- Engagement Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to improve parent involvement through online platforms, including the District's Parent Portal.
- Training and Support: Provide technical and content support to Campus Web Managers and Web Content Editors across over 130 campus websites.
- Collaboration: Work with various departments to create websites that effectively inform and engage target audiences.
- Technical Maintenance: Address and resolve technical issues such as broken links and bugs; ensure websites are mobile‑friendly and optimized for search engines.
- Metrics and Reporting: Track website performance metrics, analyze data, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Backup Administration: Serve as a backup administrator for the District's Parent Link call‑out system, including recording messages to parents.
- Performs preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and ensures equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing; operates tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
- Corrects unsafe conditions in work area and promptly reports any conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor.

- Excellent communication skills, particularly in explaining technical concepts to non‑technical staff.
