Senior Interior Designer | Retail Projects
A well-established retail design firm with nearly four decades of success is seeking a Lead Retail Designer to join their creative team in Fort Worth, TX. Known for designing spaces that drive profitability and resonate with customers, the company thrives on word‑of‑mouth referrals and long-term client relationships. $70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr
Role & Responsibilities- Develop innovative retail concepts—interior and exterior that align with client goals and brand identity.
- Collaborate directly with clients to gather input, present concepts, and guide design decisions.
- Work cross‑functionally with technical, branding, and construction teams to ensure cohesive brand storytelling.
- Source and select materials that meet aesthetic and budget goals.
- Review architectural plans and design concepts for feasibility and impact.
- Stay ahead of trends in retail, design, and pop culture.
- Manage timelines and approvals across multiple projects.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to a collaborative studio culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field from a FIDER/CIDA accredited school.
- 5+ years of professional design experience, with a strong portfolio of retail projects (interior and exterior).
- Proficiency in Sketch Up, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite;
Enscape and Smartsheet are a plus. - Strong design skills in space planning, finishes, lighting, and curb appeal.
- Excellent communication and project management abilities.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross‑functionally.
- Fluency in design documentation and detailing.
