Guest Relations Associate
Must be 18 years old or older to apply.
Starting Pay Rate $15.40.

SummaryThis position is responsible for assisting guests with membership sales and guest service issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Offer best guest service to both members and non-members.
- Answer questions and handle complaints and problems.
- Provide Zoo and Metroplex directions.
- Reconcile refunds with cash control.
- Make paging announcements.
- Issue non-admission related refunds.
- Explain current promotions and programs.
- Assist lost children and parents of lost children.
- Maintain cleanliness of the Guest Relations office, Information Booth, and surrounding Zoo areas.
- Adhere to Zoo uniform guidelines.
- Hand out first aid materials.
- Open and/or close the office daily.
- Enter all membership information and process all members in a friendly, accurate and efficient manner, including data entry (via person, mail, phone or internet) and photo processing.
- Greeting in the front plaza and throughout the zoo dispensing membership information and sales.
- Maintain Zoo's lost and found, including tagging, logging, and storage of items.
- Assemble membership packets and renewals to be mailed or picked up.
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
- Available to work Wednesdays and weekends.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional phone skills.
- Possess skills to operate basic office equipment.
- Customer Relations background.
- Demonstrated problem solving abilities.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment- Team oriented environment.
- Ability to work irregular hours (holidays and weekends).
- Ability to work special events and functions as required.
- Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold and inclement weather.
