The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Multimedia Specialist to create high-quality video and photo content that elevates the City’s brand and strengthens digital engagement. This hybrid role focuses primarily on video and photography, including filming, editing, and storytelling, while also providing support in broadcast production, such as directing live meetings and assisting with technical operations.
This position is responsible for all phases of multimedia production and develops creative storytelling content for various platforms, including digital, broadcast, and internal communications. The role also works with Production Manager on special projects across campaigns, branding and digital initiatives.
This role is for an experienced video/photo content creator seeking to utilize their skills in crafting compelling stories, editing engaging narratives, and refining visual elements to deliver exceptional results. We are looking for an individual with a passion for storytelling, strong technical foundation, and a keen eye for detail to join our dynamic team.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or related field.
- Three (3) years of professional video editing experience
- Valid Texas driver’s license
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent organization skills, including file and asset management
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Job Responsibilities
- Produce video and photo content for digital, broadcast, web, and internal communications
- Plan and execute all phases of production: writing, filming, lighting, editing, and graphics
- Operate mirrorless/DSLR cameras and related equipment in both field and studio settings
- Create graphics, animations, and other visual elements to enhance storytelling
- Support City broadcasts by operating cameras, switchers, audio boards, graphics systems, and Master Control
- Set up and direct multi-camera productions for meetings, presentations, and community events
- Maintain and troubleshoot video, audio, and broadcast equipment and files
- Collaborate with the Production Manager on campaigns, branding, and digital initiatives
- Perform related duties as assigned while adhering to City attendance and personnel policies
- Perform other related duties as required
Work is primarily performed in an office or studio but requires travel to community events, meetings, and off-site locations. The position involves frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motions. Filming may require exposure to outdoor environments, noise, and varying temperatures.
