KTVT-TV, the Dallas-Fort Worth CBS Owned and Operated station, is in search of a newscast producer. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, excellent news judgment and proven advanced storytelling abilities.

• Identify and create content and work closely with reporters on story development.
• Craft a newscast that includes more than just story placement, with thoughtful transitions and breakout opportunities.
• Write strong teases, use graphics creatively, and employ advanced production techniques.
• Be solid in the booth with effective communication skills, the ability to make quick decisions, and the capacity to manage breaking news.

• Minimum two years proven experience as a line producer in a medium or large market preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills required.
• Must be results-oriented, innovative, demonstrate teamwork and be willing to work weekends.
• Bachelor’s or technical degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field preferred.
