We are looking for a detail-focused Junior Construction Estimator to support preconstruction and bidding activities. This role is centered on cost analysis, quantity takeoffs, and proposal support

This role supports construction bidding efforts by helping produce accurate and competitive project estimates
. The estimator will work closely with senior estimating staff to ensure scope alignment, pricing accuracy, and organized documentation for construction proposals.
- Perform material quantity takeoffs and basic cost analysis for construction projects.
- Review architectural, structural, and technical drawings to support estimating accuracy.
- Assist in preparing bid packages and proposal documents under senior guidance.
- Research material pricing, labor rates, and market cost trends.
- Maintain organized estimate records, subcontractor pricing inputs, and supporting data.
- Support bid coordination and submission deadlines.
- Collect vendor and supplier pricing information as needed.
- Update estimating spreadsheets and tracking systems.
- Verify project scope alignment between plans, specifications, and estimate assumptions.
- Help improve estimating accuracy across future projects.
Important: This position is strictly an estimating support role.
No project management, field supervision, or construction execution responsibilities are included.
- 1-3 years of experience in construction estimating or construction support work.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience performing basic quantity takeoffs.
- Familiarity with estimating software, spreadsheets, or digital takeoff tools.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills when coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
- High school diploma required; associate degree or construction-related coursework preferred.
- Exposure to commercial or residential construction estimating.
- Knowledge of bid solicitation and subcontractor pricing workflows.
- Understanding of construction bidding cycles.
