Foreman II
Reports to:
Superintendent
Job Duties / General Requirements:
The Plumber Foreman II will report directly to the Superintendent and will be responsible for leading and managing a team of plumbers to deliver exceptional quality and customer service to our clients. The Foreman will work closely with the Superintendent to understand the goals and direction of the company and lead their team to generate profits.
- Provides daily guidance, training, and direction to the plumbing crew.
- Oversees and directs the assembly, installation and repair of plumbing systems according to project specifications and appropriate trade and building codes. These systems may consist of pipes, fittings, fixtures and boilers for hydronic heating, water, drainage systems, and medgas.
- Develops solutions to ensure issues never become problems.
- Reviews projects with the Superintendent and/or Project Manager after equipment and subcontractors are procured.
- Conducts a physical survey of the project with the Superintendent to ascertain conditions and reports back to the Project Manager in writing if required.
- Creates takeoffs for projects in a timely and thorough manner with the Superintendent.
- Plans, coordinates and supervises on-site functions, including scheduling, material control, and rentals.
- Provides daily job completion percentages.
- Ensures all site personnel comply with project procedures, safety requirements, company policies and other requirements as they occur. Documents all incidents as they occur and notifies the Project Manager and Superintendent. Recommends and implements corrective action.
- Is responsible for ensuring all jobs have weekly reports completed and submitted, including safety/toolbox reports, preconstruction, weekly production reports and any project-specific reports.
- Conducts inspections on jobs, assures jobs are detailed to Pueblo Mechanical standards, ensures jobs are ready, and participates as needed in start-ups and coordinates as needed with contractors, engineers, subcontractors and owners.
- Coordinates with shop for production scheduling and deliveries.
- Has 4+ years’ experience; journeyman or able to obtain license.
- Has 2+ years’ experience running work.
- Can complete an 8‑week look‑ahead for their project.
- Can manage a crew from 1 to 10 installers.
- Can read blueprints and prepare material lists.
- Works to increase team efficiency and uphold high standards of safety at all times.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Is self‑motivated and punctual.
- Can multitask and has excellent follow‑up skills both internally and externally.
- Is professional in appearance and speech.
- Has experience with government facilities (a plus).
- Can work in a physically demanding environment, including the ability to lift up to 50‑pounds and frequent bending, lifting, standing, walking over uneven terrain or in confined spaces, and safely climb ladders.
