Position Summary

JMT is seeking a Construction Manager to be responsible for managing construction projects in North Texas, with the initial project assignment expected within 50 miles of Fort Worth, TX. This is a full‑time, on‑site opportunity. Remote or hybrid work is not available.

Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g., H1B, F‑1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide on‑site construction management, inspection, and reporting on building construction projects.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients, building occupants, architects/engineers, and contractors.
  • Manage and coordinate inspection staff.
  • Manage project schedule from inception to close out.
  • Run project job‑site meetings.
  • Review contractor work in place to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Report on project issues and provide status updates.
  • Perform other duties as may be required.
Required Skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective leadership skills for managing and mentoring field staff.
  • Ability to take charge and effectively manage contractors to meet project schedule.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations with a 10‑hour OSHA Safety card.
  • Ability to work well with others and willingness to learn in a team environment.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of ten years of construction experience serving as a Construction Manager, Construction Management Representative, Owner's Representative, or Construction Project Manager or Superintendent.
  • Experience with construction and renovation projects and building system repair and restoration that involved active management, oversight and/or inspection of multiple construction trades and close coordination with the Government/Owner on construction issues.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Government and Municipal Engineers/Project Managers/CORs on project costs and budgets, processing change requests, requests for information, submittals, and field observation reports.
  • Experience using SharePoint, Procore, BIM
    360, Holo Builder and other construction management software to communicate construction progress and process documentation.
  • Experience reviewing engineering designs, contractor shop drawings and/or vendor specifications and plans, or similar, to determine constructability and practicality of proposed work and adherence to established standards and requirements.
Preferred Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30‑hour construction safety training.
  • Experience on large federal and/or municipal construction projects.
  • Certifications from CMAA (CCM), PMP, PE, or EIT.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in both an office and field (construction) environment. Office to field time is approximately 10% to 90% respectively. Field work requires climbing, walking and standing at a construction site and may be outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 50 lbs) may be required. Travel is required.

This is a field‑based role, full‑time on site expected with some office‑involved meetings and in between project assignments.
