Role Summary

The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily job site performance and execution to ensure successful project delivery for the client. This includes leading field operations, managing subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring quality and safety standards. The Superintendent will also play a key leadership role in building cohesive jobsite teams and mentoring Assistant Superintendents.

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of commercial construction experience with at least 2 years in a superintendent or field leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and sequencing.
  • Proficiency in project management and scheduling software (Procore experience a plus).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and mentoring Assistant Superintendents and field staff.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily job site performance and execution for project delivery to the client.
  • Supervise and mentor Assistant Superintendents while reviewing daily reports and logs.
  • Build a cohesive job site team environment through strong communication and collaboration.
  • Lead project start‑up, safety meetings, daily huddles, and coordination meetings.
  • Review drawings for constructability, coordinate RFIs and submittals, and manage project expediting logs.
  • Perform regular schedule updates, including micro and recovery schedule fragments as needed.
  • Partner closely with the Project Manager on schedule, scope, and client success.

Requirements

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, honesty, loyalty, and work ethic; holds a four‑year bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in construction science, management, construction, or engineering; and maintains current certifications such as First Aid/CPR, Scaffolding Competent Person, Trench Safety, Fall Safety, OSHA 30 Hour, and Forklift/Lull Operations. They should have at least five years of experience supervising commercial construction projects, possess a valid driver’s license, and be able to travel to job sites within the DFW area, with the possibility of extended travel.

The candidate must be capable of reading and fully understanding plans, specifications, details, and construction documents, have a proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget, and be proficient with the appropriate software.
