We currently partner with multiple general contractors and owner/developer groups across the DFW market and are actively supporting several preconstruction openings
. These opportunities range from entry-level / associate preconstruction roles through Preconstruction Manager, Senior Preconstruction Manager, and Director of Preconstruction
.

The specific role and level will depend on your experience, leadership background, and long-term career goals.

We work closely with a range of well-respected commercial construction firms supporting preconstruction teams on complex projects including healthcare, higher education, industrial, mission-critical, mixed-use, and office.

We’re engaging estimating and preconstruction professionals who enjoy being involved early in the project lifecycle — influencing scope, cost, schedule, and strategy before a project ever breaks ground.

The Role

The Preconstruction Manager supports and leads preconstruction efforts from concept through GMP
, partnering closely with estimating, operations, design teams, and ownership to position projects for successful execution.

Depending on experience, this role may be hands-on estimating focused
, pursuit and proposal driven
, or leadership-oriented
, overseeing preconstruction teams and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or support preconstruction efforts from early conceptual estimates through GMP
• Develop detailed estimates, budgets, and value engineering options
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors
• Support procurement strategies, bid packaging, and subcontractor engagement
• Participate in design reviews to identify cost, scope, and constructability impacts
• Prepare and present estimates, narratives, and proposal materials
• Assist with schedule development and milestone planning
• Support handoff from preconstruction to operations teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
• Contribute to continuous improvement of preconstruction processes

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in commercial construction estimating and/or preconstruction
• Background across sectors such as healthcare, higher education, industrial, mission‑critical, mixed‑use, or office
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods
• Collaborative mindset with clear communication skills
• Proficiency with estimating and preconstruction tools (Excel, OST, Win Est, Procore, etc.)
• Ability to manage multiple pursuits and deadlines
