Electrical Superintendent – Industrial

Join TIC – The Industrial Company for a mid‑level Electrical Superintendent role with full‑time field supervision in the Industrial and Water market. This position is project‑site based throughout the United States and requires travel to multiple locations.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead electric scope, supervise foremen and craft workers, and provide oversight, training, and daily inspections of electrical construction on self‑performed projects. The role acts as liaison between contractors, engineered equipment suppliers, and engineering teams to resolve challenges and manage field situations. The incumbent will travel to project sites across the U.S. and will be eligible for per diem, travel home allowances, competitive salary, and excellent benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the electrical scope of projects as Superintendent, managing foremen and electrical craft workers and ensuring productivity, safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
  • Liaison between field engineering and craft to ensure compliance of construction drawings and specifications and address engineering challenges during construction with PM, CM and technical team.
  • Coordinate and interface with other superintendents, subcontractors, inspection companies, client, Kiewit staff and leadership to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence.
  • Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties, informing project and corporate management as appropriate.
  • Assist in schedule planning, determining craft labor levels, material quantities and equipment requirements.
  • Ensure project rules, procedures and programs are followed consistently, including safety, attendance and workplace behavior standards as reflected in TIC non‑harassment and nondiscrimination policies.
  • Establish budgetary guidelines for the job and ensure that cost control measures are being followed; provide job safety training and awareness for all personnel.
  • Establish quality standards and ensure all quality assurance and company standards are met. Develop and manage job schedules and coordinate work with contractors and deliveries with suppliers, ensuring inspections are scheduled appropriately.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years in the self‑perform construction industry with at least 3 years in a Superintendent role managing foremen and electrical craft employees.
  • Understanding of state license requirements for journeymen to apprentice ratios necessary to perform electrical work in a particular state.
  • 3+ years of prior knowledge and experience within electrical construction.
  • Advanced knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings, procurement, estimating and construction disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance.
  • Highly motivated, with demonstrated passion for excellence, initiative; strong leadership skills and ability to mentor and grow employees.
  • Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time.
  • Passion for safety, with ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
