Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Ground-Up Superintendent to lead field operations for a large-scale data center project in the Dallas area. The ideal candidate has a strong background in mission-critical construction, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver complex projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
This role will oversee all on-site construction activities from sitework through commissioning, coordinating subcontractors, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring the highest quality of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all on-site construction activities for a ground-up data center project
- Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel across all trades
- Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager
- Enforce site safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality control procedures
- Lead daily site meetings and communicate progress, issues, and solutions
- Ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and building codes
- Maintain detailed site documentation, including reports, logs, and as-builts
- Proactively identify and resolve constructability, schedule, and coordination challenges
- 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent on large commercial or industrial projects
- Proven experience delivering ground-up construction projects (data center experience strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, structural work, and mission-critical infrastructure
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality standards
- Proficient with construction scheduling and reporting tools
- Ability to work on-site full time in Dallas, TX
- Data centers, mission-critical facilities, or high-tech industrial projects
- Experience coordinating complex MEP scopes and commissioning activities
