Primary Duties
  • Perform oil and filter changes according to manufacturer specifications
  • Check, top off, and replace vehicle fluids (engine oil, transmission, coolant, brake, power steering, windshield washer, etc.)
  • Inspect vehicles for basic safety and maintenance issues, including belts, hoses, tires, lights, wiper blades, and battery condition
  • Rotate and balance tires as required
  • Check and adjust tire pressure
  • Replace air filters and cabin filters
  • Lubricate vehicle components as needed
Inspection & Reporting
  • Conduct courtesy vehicle inspections and document findings
  • Accurately identify and report potential mechanical issues or safety concerns to supervisors or service advisors
  • Make maintenance recommendations based on vehicle condition and manufacturer guidelines
Shop & Safety Responsibilities
  • Follow all shop safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
  • Properly dispose of used oil, filters, and hazardous materials
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Use shop tools and equipment properly and responsibly
Customer Service & Teamwork
  • Communicate professionally with service advisors and team members
  • Provide honest, accurate information regarding vehicle condition
  • Support team operations and assist other technicians as needed
Qualifications & Skills (optional section)
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and interest in automotive repair
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles
  • 6 months of related job experience (Preferred)
  • Ability to follow instructions, work effectively in a team environment, and uphold Meineke's commitment to high-quality work.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
  • State inspector's license or willingness to obtain
