- Perform oil and filter changes according to manufacturer specifications
- Check, top off, and replace vehicle fluids (engine oil, transmission, coolant, brake, power steering, windshield washer, etc.)
- Inspect vehicles for basic safety and maintenance issues, including belts, hoses, tires, lights, wiper blades, and battery condition
- Rotate and balance tires as required
- Check and adjust tire pressure
- Replace air filters and cabin filters
- Lubricate vehicle components as needed
- Conduct courtesy vehicle inspections and document findings
- Accurately identify and report potential mechanical issues or safety concerns to supervisors or service advisors
- Make maintenance recommendations based on vehicle condition and manufacturer guidelines
- Follow all shop safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Properly dispose of used oil, filters, and hazardous materials
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Use shop tools and equipment properly and responsibly
- Communicate professionally with service advisors and team members
- Provide honest, accurate information regarding vehicle condition
- Support team operations and assist other technicians as needed
- Basic mechanical knowledge and interest in automotive repair
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles
- 6 months of related job experience (Preferred)
- Ability to follow instructions, work effectively in a team environment, and uphold Meineke's commitment to high-quality work.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- State inspector's license or willingness to obtain
