Overview
Harris, Finley & Bogle has more than 30 lawyers and four decades of civil experience. We are currently seeking a part or full-time Office Services Clerk/Runner for our downtown Fort Worth location.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a professional services environment and be comfortable working in a fast-paced confidential setting.
Responsibilities- Deliver and file legal documents: Transport time-sensitive legal filings to and from courthouses, clients, and other law offices.
- Manage mail and packages: Handle and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail, as well as courier services like Fed Ex and UPS.
- Run general errands: Fulfill various office requests, which can include bank deposits or picking up supplies and food.
- Maintain vehicle and records: Drive safely and maintain a good driving record. A reliable vehicle is required for the job.
- Handle documents: Copy, scan, organize, and file legal documents, both physical and electronic, to keep the firm's records orderly.
- Support attorneys and staff: Assist legal staff with various tasks, such as preparing documents for trials and hearings.
- Manage office supplies: Monitor and restock office and kitchen supplies to ensure the firm has necessary materials.
- Maintain professionalism: Handle all interactions and confidential information with discretion and a professional demeanor.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
- Driving: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential.
- Physical fitness: You should be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Dependability: Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are critical.
- Organization: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary to manage files and meet tight deadlines.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to interact professionally with staff, clients, and court personnel.
- Technology: Basic knowledge of computers, scanners, and other office equipment is important.
