Administrative / Laboratory Assistant (Part-Time ~ 22 Hours)
Schedule: Thursday (7:30 AM - 11:30 AM), Friday & Saturday (7:30 AM - 5 PM)
Location: Fort Worth, TX
General SummaryOur partner is an organization specializing in equine reproductive services for clients nationwide. The team utilizes advanced intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) techniques to produce equine embryos for infertile or subfertile mares, subfertile stallions, limited frozen semen straws, and similar cases.
The organization values a collaborative, team-based culture where employees gain hands-on experience and exposure to all facets of the business. Under the supervision of a Team Leader, the Administrative/Laboratory Assistant performs a variety of administrative, clerical, and technical duties in support of laboratory and operational functions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities1) Client Billing and Communication
- Assist with client billing and related communications
- Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency and operational coordination
2) Tracking and Reporting
- Accurately record and maintain documentation of all clinical processes using equine software systems, spreadsheets, and lab notebooks
- Assist with clinical laboratory data collection and organization
3) Laboratory Support
- Create and maintain laboratory schedules for all clinical processes
- Assist the lead scientist and leadership team in clinical processes
- Receive and ship equine specimens
- Ensure laboratory supplies are adequately stocked
4) Additional Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and special project support as assigned by leadership
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment aligned with organizational goals
- Maintain strict confidentiality protocols for sensitive information
- Assist with orientation and training of new staff members
- Adapt to changing organizational needs, including supporting other staff and adjusting assignments as needed
- Maintain competency in all areas of responsibility to ensure high-quality work
- Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and work standards, including attendance and scheduling requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in animal-related fields, or currently pursuing such a degree
- Strong team orientation with excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace
