Robert Half Full Time Engagement Professionals is hiring an experienced Senior Accountant to join our project based consulting practice in Fort Worth. This is a full time salaried role with Robert Half, where you will be deployed on client engagements based on business needs and your expertise.

In this role, you will support organizations navigating change, growth, and critical accounting initiatives. You will step into hands on projects that require strong technical accounting skills, sound judgment, and the ability to collaborate across teams.

What you will do

- Lead and support month end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion

- Prepare and review trial balances for accuracy and compliance

- Maintain and update the general ledger and chart of accounts with proper classification and reporting

- Perform account reconciliations including bank accounts and intercompany accounts

- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial activity

- Compile financial statements and management reports

- Manage fixed asset schedules and calculate depreciation

- Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries

- Analyze variances and prepare ad hoc reporting to support business decisions

- Assist with budget preparation and perform monthly budget versus actual analysis

Requirements

- Senior level accounting experience with strong general ledger and close expertise

- Experience stepping into new environments and stabilizing accounting processes

- Strong Excel skills and comfort working within multiple ERP systems

- Ability to work independently while collaborating with client teams

- Adaptability, professionalism, and a consulting mindset
