Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our client's team in Fort Worth, Texas.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and record accurate journal entries to ensure the integrity of financial data.

- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for timely and accurate reporting.

- Process accounts payable transactions, including reviewing invoices and ensuring proper documentation.

- Conduct thorough account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.

- Assist with monthly and year-end close procedures to meet reporting deadlines.

- Collaborate with the finance team to enhance processes within accounting systems.

- Support the implementation of internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

- Contribute to the development of efficient workflows for accounts payable and expense reporting.

- Provide support during audits and respond to requests for financial documentation.

- Participate in special projects and initiatives to improve overall financial operations.

Requirements

- A minimum of 1 year of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.

- Proficiency in journal entries and general ledger maintenance.

- Experience with accounts payable processes and account reconciliations.

- Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

- Familiarity with accounting software such as Net Suite or similar systems.

- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Effective communication skills to interact with team members and external stakeholders.
