Staff Accountant

STAFF ACCOUNTANT – REAL ESTATE AND PRIVATE EQUITY TEAM

We are seeking a full-time staff accountant that possesses a driven, intelligent, and professional personality and has excellent organizational and communication skills. This role requires 3-5 years of prior full cycle accounting experience including some construction accounting experience. The ideal candidate will desire to work and collaborate with team members in-office at least 3 days per week.

• Prepare and analyze construction draws for clients
• Manage communication and flow of information between client, developer, lender and equity partners with strong attention to detail
• Review and post client payables in general ledger accounting system (Microsoft Dynamics GP), ensuring expenses are accurately recorded and allocated to the correct cost codes. This includes monitoring costs against the established project budget.
• Prepare and post adjusting journal entries as needed in general ledger accounting system
• Prepare account reconciliations
• Prepare and/or review monthly/quarterly financial reporting for clients
• Interface with and support clients as needed
• Prepare various client analysis projects including waterfall distribution calculations, management fee calculations, cash flow forecasts and other ad hoc projects

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an accounting-related field

• Intermediate financial statements consolidation
• Intermediate financial statement preparation
• Intermediate analytical skills
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills Preferred
