Senior Accountant

We are engaged by a growing mining company based in Fort Worth, Texas on a Senior Accountant role. We’re seeking a hands‑on, detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team and support accurate, timely financial management as we continue to expand.

High Level Looking for:

• 3-5+ years of experience in energy, oil and gas, mining or industrial space
• CPA NOT required

The Senior Accountant will oversee general accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial data in Quick Books
. This role includes managing month‑end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and supporting audits and operational analysis. The ideal candidate has relevant industry experience and thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

• Manage and maintain the general ledger in Quick Books, ensuring accurate and timely postings.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
  .
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Generate financial statements
  , P&L reports, and balance sheets for management review.
• Track and analyze costs related to mining operations
  , including equipment, materials, and labor.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts
  .
• Support external audits and liaise with auditors and tax advisors.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in mining, oil & gas, or manufacturing

• Strong proficiency in Quick Books Desktop or Online
  .
• Solid understanding of GAAP
  , financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
