Seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support a short-term project focused on 1099s and vendor tax compliance. This position is ideal for professionals with strong accounts payable experience and a proven track record in 1099 filing and tax documentation. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring accurate reporting and maintaining compliance with IRS requirements. This is a 2-3 month contract position that will interview and start immediately.

This role is paying $26-30/hour, depending on experience.

• Review and validate vendor tax documentation (W-9 forms) for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate with vendors to obtain missing or corrected information while maintaining professionalism.
• Perform proactive outreach to secure required documentation promptly.
• Analyze large data sets to identify discrepancies and update records accurately.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve compliance issues quickly.
• Maintain organized documentation for audits and reporting.
• Support timely completion of 1099 filing requirements.

• 2 years of AP/ 1099 experience
• Quick Books Desktop experience, highly preferred
