Weaver seeks a State and Local Tax (SALT) Manager to join the Sales and Use (Indirect) Tax division of our SALT practice. The Sales and Use Tax Manager will work on multiple complex tax engagements and contribute to delivering innovative sales and use tax planning ideas for our diverse clients. • Leads projects and a team of sales and use tax professionals
• Works on complex Indirect tax audits, managed audits, and recovery of tax over payments (reverse audits)
• Prepares complex tax research projects for clients across diverse industries by researching and analyzing a wide range of tax issues and tax implications
• Provides consulting services to corporate clients drawing on accounting and taxation experience
• Identifies complex tax issues and provides tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliates

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA, CMI or JD
• 5+ years of state and local tax experience in a public accounting firm, tax services firm or similar industry
• Experience with a focus on indirect (sales & use) tax compliance and consulting

• Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop staff
• Strong relationship management and practice development skills
• Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients

Compensation range is typically $120,000 to $175,000 in the California and New York Metropolitan areas. Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
