Bricklayer Social Housing & Public Buildings Derby £17.01 per hour Monday to Friday | 8:00am 4:00pm Company vehicle provided We are currently recruiting for an experienced Bricklayer to join a busy Capital Works / Property Maintenance team delivering repairs, refurbishments and new works across housing stock, schools and public buildings.

The Role You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of bricklaying works including:
Bricklaying repairs, maintenance and refurbishments New build brickwork including setting out Interpreting drawings and specifications Working within occupied properties and liaising with customers Completing job paperwork electronically or manually Maintaining accurate records for time, materials and work completed Ensuring vehicle stock levels are maintained Supporting other trades where required (multi-skilling) Mentoring apprentices when needed Health, Safety & Professional Standards You will be expected to:
Work in line with all Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices Use PPE appropriately at all times Report hazards and incidents Follow data protection and confidentiality requirements Demonstrate a customer-focused approach Work with digital systems and new technology Essential Requirements City & Guilds Level 3 in Bricklaying (or equivalent) Experience in new builds, refurbishments and kitchen installations Experience working in customer-facing environments Full UK driving licence (willing to complete driving assessment) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication skills Flexible approach to working hours Strong understanding of Health & Safety

Desirable Experience within Local Authority or Housing Association environments Multi-skilled background (e.g. plastering, groundworks) Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 Personal Attributes Reliable and punctual Able to meet deadlines and targets Professional and customer-focused Self-motivated with good initiative
