Production Operator

The Production Operator's role involves a variety of tasks in the production of high-quality aluminium. We are looking for candidates who show willingness to learn, and will be committed to delivering the high standard of production, adhering to strict HSE standards.

Established since 1929, ALVANCE British Aluminium, part of the GFG Alliance, owns and operates the last remaining aluminium production plant (smelter) in the UK and a connected hydropower electricity generation station located on the slopes of Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain. A combination of renewable energy sources makes this site one of the greenest metal production plants in the country.

This is a diverse role which involves various production and quality tasks, as well as operating both forklift trucks and overhead cranes (remote and cab controlled) and some other mobile plant equipment. This is a 12hr shift based role, following a set pattern of dayshift and night shift and we operate 24/7 all year round.

If you have transferable skills, enjoy working with your hands and ideally worked in manufacturing or production before - this is a job for you.
