Log Yard Operator, Wheeled Loader and Bucket Driver

Fort William, PH33 7AP

Shifts:

Rotating Shifts, 6am-3pm/3pm-1am (42.5 hours per week).

Based at our Fort William sawmill, you will be specifically driving a wheeled loader with a bucket, working within a team and individually.

• Operating a wheeled loader with a Bucket.
• Loading wood chip, bark and sawdust.
• Movement of logs using 360 material handler and wheeled loader.
• Unloading of log wagons.
• Operation of weighbridge: booking in/out sawn goods, logs and coproducts as well as controlling incoming site traffic movements.

We are looking for a motivated individual who is production focussed and has the ability to meet deadlines. In addition, you’ll have:

• Experience using heavy mobile plant preferred but not essential – full training can be provided.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Flexibility and ability to work well as part of a small team.
• A high level of organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Appreciation of quality and Health & Safety.
• Full driver’s licence.
