Operations Supervisor

Central Transport LLC is one of North America’s most reliable and technologically advanced LTL (Less-than-Truckload) carriers. With almost 90 years of experience and over 200 locations, we continue to expand our operation systems to better serve our wide network of clientele. Our modern fleet averages 2.5 years old, and we recently implemented 25 next-day hubs to provide immediate, essential services overnight.

9:00am-7:00pm, Mon-Fri

• Experience in a transportation, cross docking, or shipping and receiving environment (preferably within the LTL industry)
• Familiar with customs and cross-border transportation
• Strong leadership qualities
• Desire to surround customer with excellence in service
• High aptitude for technology
• Ability to multi-task while being detail oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An Associates or Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required

• Relaying critical information between drivers and our vendors/Terminal Managers
• Review and revise driver routes to increase efficiencies while monitoring a changing workload
• Being aware of freight that is in transit
• Assist and report issues that drivers face when they’re on the road (i.e. flat tire)
• Ensure facility Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals are met and/or exceeded
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards
• Provide/support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers
