Resident Assistant (Substitute) - Vincent Village
Trusted. Reliable. Essential. Join Vincent Village as a Substitute Resident Assistant and help maintain a safe, structured environment for families. We are building a pool of reliable individuals who are open to being contacted on short notice—an excellent opportunity for college students, retirees, or anyone passionate about supporting individuals and families in our community as they learn, grow, and succeed.
The Substitute Resident Assistant (Sub RA) is an on-call, temporary relief position that provides coverage during scheduled and unscheduled absences of the primary Resident Assistant. This role is essential to maintaining safety, security, and continuity within Vincent House and the shelter program. Sub RAs are expected to step in seamlessly and uphold program standards to ensure a stable, supportive environment for resident families.
More specifically:
The RAs primarily work indoors and are stationed at the front desk for much of their shift. Duties include monitoring cameras, answering phones, completing logs, letting residents in, and doing hourly indoor rounds. The role involves more sitting than standing, with limited outdoor movement. The second shift requires more resident interaction, as this is when chores are completed and supplies are distributed.
Lifting is minimal, and while stair use is required, it is not physically demanding. At this time, driving a Vincent Village vehicle is not expected for this position.
